Concrete floating WTG foundations optimized for shallow water turbine integration

Concrete floaters are considered a durable and viable solution for Floating Offshore Wind. Designs are still being developed and optimised. The initial water displacement of semi-submergible concrete floaters for wind turbines is relatively large and requires deep water in ports or at near shore locations. Haskoning has developed conceptual designs of low-draught three-column post-tensioned concrete floaters. These concepts have been developed together with Tsinghua Shenzhen Research Institute including hydrodynamic modelling and structural verifications.
